Check-in & Out Times

Check-in is any time after 3:00 p.m.  Check-out is 10:00 a.m.  We may be able to accommodate an earlier Check-in or later Check-out if notified. Please inquire one week in advance.

Deposit Policy

A deposit of $150 is required at the time of booking to hold your reservation.  The remaining balance is due upon arrival.  We accept e-transfer, Visa or MasterCard.

Cancellation Policy

Deposits can be refunded provided that notification of cancellation is submitted in writing two weeks prior to your scheduled arrival date. Deposits will not be refunded if your cancellation is received less than two weeks from your scheduled arrival.  Regardless of the reason (illness, border closures, etc.) you will have the following options:

​

1. If you have the ability to leave your deposit with us for the following year, we will confirm your future dates and lock in this year's rate.

2. You can rebook for later in the season and apply your deposit to the new date.

3. A full refund of your deposit can be provided in the same manner in which the deposit was received.

Security Deposit

A credit card imprint will be required upon check in, held in trust and not processed unless needed due to damages, loses or excessive cleaning expenses.

Air Conditioner Fee

Guests are welcome to bring their own AC units.  If anyone chooses to bring their own unit a $5 a night or $25 a week fee will be charged. 

 

Pet Policy

Pet owners often struggle about what to do with their pets when they travel since they are considered part of the family.  Simmons Cottages has specific cottages allocated for pet guests and their owners.  Well behaved pets are welcome to stay for $10 a night or $50 a week.

Any pets found in a non-pet cottage will result in a $250 allergenic cleansing fee.  * No Pets: Rideauview and Lane's End

Housekeeping Policy

We will provide bed linens, bath towels, bath mats, dish soap, dish clothes, dish towels, toilet paper and water.  These items will not be changed or replaced during your week stay.  If you are staying for more than a week, housekeeping services and fresh linens will be provide every 7th day. 

 

Recycling Policy

Recyclng is serious business in the Township of Rideau Lakes.  Fines can be incurred if completed incorrectly or not at all.  To maintain the beauty of our region and prolong the life of our waste sites, it is imperative that everyone practice the 3 R’s: REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE.

THE TOWNSHIP REQUESTS THE FOLLOWING:

“IT IS NECESSARY TO FLATTEN ALL PLASTICS AND METAL CONTAINERS BEFORE RECYCLING THEM. IF EVERYONE FLATTENS THEIR PLASTICS & METAL CONTAINERS THERE WILL BE A SAVINGS OF SPACE, TIME AND MONEY. IT WILL MAKE OUR RECYCLING PROGRAM MORE EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVE.”

“NEW: Rideau Lakes recycles Plastics #1 to #7. Note that this DOES NOT include plastic bags (grocery/milk) or film wrap”
